The University of Groningen, the second oldest in the Netherlands, boasts a distinguished 400-year legacy of academic excellence. Over the centuries, it has been home to remarkable talents, including Nobel laureates like Ben Feringa (Chemistry, 2016). 

Our faculty of Religion, Culture, and Society is housed in one of Groningen’s most iconic buildings, a former 15th-century courthouse. Today, it serves as a hub where researchers and students explore the role of religion in societies worldwide.
